LPS1014 is a scheme which requires competence in all aspects of fire detection and fire alarm systems covering design, installation, commissioning and ongoing maintenance. The scheme originated from the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) in the early 90's, as means of controlling the entire design to servicing life cycle for fire alarm and detection companies with the aim of providing traceability throughout the work programme by means of certificates of conformity.
